This invoice generator includes the fields most EU invoices need: a sequential invoice number, issue and supply dates, seller and client names and addresses, VAT IDs, company registration numbers, a line-by-line VAT rate, the VAT total per rate and the bank details (IBAN) for payment.
- Reverse charge — for B2B services to a VAT-registered client in another EU country, tick “Reverse charge” and the note “Reverse charge – Art. 196 Directive 2006/112/EC” is added.
- Not VAT registered — hide the VAT columns if you are below your country’s VAT threshold.
- Any currency — EUR, RON, USD, GBP and other European currencies, with your preferred number format.
Local rules differ (for example e-invoicing obligations such as RO e-Factura in Romania). Use this tool for the PDF and check what your accountant requires.
FAQ
Is this invoice generator free?
Yes, completely free with no sign-up and no watermark. You can create as many invoices as you need.
Is my data safe?
The invoice is built in your browser. Nothing is uploaded; your seller details are saved only in this browser’s local storage so you don’t have to retype them, and you can clear them at any time.
How do I download the invoice as a PDF?
Click “Download PDF (print)” and choose “Save as PDF” in the print dialog. The page header, form and buttons are hidden so only the invoice is saved.
What must an EU invoice contain?
Generally: a unique sequential number, issue date, supply date if different, the full names and addresses of seller and buyer, the seller’s VAT ID (and the buyer’s for reverse charge), a description and quantity of goods or services, unit price, VAT rate and VAT amount per rate, and the total.
When should I use reverse charge?
Usually when you supply B2B services to a VAT-registered business in another EU country. You charge 0% VAT and the client accounts for VAT. Both VAT IDs should appear on the invoice.
Does it work for Romanian invoices (factură)?
You can add CUI/CIF, Reg. Com. number and IBAN and invoice in RON. Note that Romanian businesses may also have to report invoices through RO e-Factura.
