They must be on the label or by electronic means. A QR code is not itself mandatory.

Since 8 December 2023, wine on the EU market needs an ingredient list and a nutrition declaration. You can print them on the label or provide them electronically. An electronic page must not track the visitor and must not be an advertisement.

What is required
The word Ingredients
On the physical label, next to the code, it has to be clear that the code leads to the ingredients. No EU pictogram has replaced that word yet.
No tracking and no marketing
The electronic page does not collect visitor data and contains no marketing. Energy and allergens stay on the physical label as well.
The buyer's language
The information has to be in the language of the country where you sell. Romanian and English are included. The 40-wine pack opens every official EU language for the standard terms.

The code does not depend on payment
Some services keep the page online only while a subscription is active. Here, a code's redirect and an already published wine page do not check the plan. If you return to the free plan, you cannot add wines past the free limit, but the codes you already printed keep working, with no advertisement and no payment interstitial. The exception is abuse: a code reported by three people is paused until it is reviewed.

Questions
Is a QR code mandatory?
No. The ingredient list and the nutrition declaration are mandatory. A QR code is only one electronic way to provide them.
Does ONVPV already offer a free code?
Producers of DOC, PGI and varietal wines in the ONVPV app have a free option, with limited coverage. This page is for wines outside that app, for export languages, and for a code you keep after a single payment.
What if I stop paying?
The redirect does not stop and a published wine page is not taken down. You can no longer add wines past the free limit.
Who is responsible for the figures?
The producer. The form's calculator estimates energy from alcohol, sugar and acidity. The published values are the ones you confirm.
Does the wine page track visitors?
No. It has no cookie, it does not count scans, and it loads no scripts. Ordinary dynamic codes count redirects only, with no IP address and no country.
